KTM is one of the world’s biggest and most successful factory of cross-country motorbikes. A museum is planned for its headquarters, which is to represent the company’s history, its racing successes and the innovations in the areas of enduro, motor cross and street racing developed by KTM. »Ready to race«, the company’s intransigent motto can be found throughout the building running like a thread, the »Strecke« (route). All motorbike exhibits are driving on different terrains like in a race on this route through the museum. The different »terrains« are hereby simulated by large-sized media projections on the walls. A media show is overlaying the entire exhibition every 15 minutes and can be collectively experienced by the visitors. The exhibition tour follows the route, but can also be set up individually via a smart phone app. Depending on areas of interest, various focal points can be defined including for example a visit of the exhibition workshop and the depot at the end of the tour.
